5 Health Benefits of Owning a Labradoodle

So often, pet owners are concerned about what they can do to improve the heath of dogs. We spend so much of our time and money making sure that our furry friends have everything they need. But, we often don’t think about what our Labradoodles can do for our health and wellbeing. Owning a Labradoodle can make you a happier and healthier person. Scientific studies show that dogs are just as good for us as we are for them.

1. Dogs keep you fit and active

If you have no motivation to exercise, it can be too easy to stay inside and sit on the couch. When you have a Labradoodle, a sedentary lifestyle is not an option. Labradoodles have lots of energy, and they require at least one long walk per day. In addition to their walks, they need play time. Even fifteen minutes a day of running around the yard and throwing a ball can burn calories and improve muscle tone.

Most physicians will tell you that a person needs about thirty minutes of exercise a day. When you’re giving your Labradoodle the exercise they need, you will probably exceed that amount every day. Your dog may even motivate you to walk faster and for longer periods. If your dog loves to walk, you’re more likely to walk further because you want your Labradoodle to be happy. You might even try different activities like running, swimming, and agility training for the health of your dog.

If you’re having a hard time losing weight, consider getting a Labradoodle. They are a workout problem that won’t take excuses from you. It’s easy to text a friend and say that you won’t be making it to the gym, but nearly impossible to look into the hopeful eyes of your Labradoodle and tell them that you’re not taking them on a walk.

2. Labradoodles are good workers

This breed was originally bred as a hypoallergenic guide and comfort dog. They are well-behaved dogs that are capable of learning new skills. They are great for people with disabilities that need a little extra help. They make good guide dogs for blind people because they are sensitive to their surroundings and want to please their owner. They are often used as comfort dogs for people with anxiety because their gentle and happy demeanor makes people feel more at ease. When a Labradoodle is trained to work a job, they take great pride in what they do and work to please their owner. These dogs are also good at helping children with ADHD, because they can be used to release energy and to calm children.
